Government computers used to find information on Joe the Plumber
The Columbus Dispatch discovered via FOIA requests that government computers used to find information on Joe the Plumber. An investigation has begun to find out who access the records and whether the access was illegal.
This case brings up two very important issues.

This case show why government transparency is so critical. Without it, citizens will never know how the government spends our money, whether they are spying on us, and whether they are researching our private records for political gains. - Privacy rights and free speech -
There is no indication that this was tied to the Obama campaign. I would seriously doubt there is a connection. This will probably be an Obama supporter acting on his own, similar to the case of Gov. Palin’s email being hacked.It has been stunning and scary to watch how a private citizen has been attacked personally with ridicule, and invasion of his private records including his taxes and criminal background checks. Both Joe Biden and Barack Obama ridiculing plumbers and small business owners while their surrogates have researched Joe’s private records for any story the can find. All of this just because Joe exercised his right to free speech and asked Sen. Obama a question.
This makes one wonder, what will it be like to live under an Obama and total Congressional control by the Democrats? How much of the news media will help protect the citizens, when the majority of them now are doing the bidding for Obama? How long would it take an Obama administration to go after Conservative talk radio, Fox News and bloggers who disagree with him? Man y of you think the Bush administration has infringed on our rights as citizens, what will you say when Obama takes it even further?
After seeing the way Obama went at “Joe the Plumber” it wouldn’t surprise me if it was somone in his campaign. This could end up being obama’s Watergate and downfall if they can prove who and why. If they do prove it was Obama’s Campaign it would be hard for me to believe that Obama did not know as they had a whole of information on Joe. a little too much information. And if it was Obama’s campaign lets hope it brings him to his knees because that is what we could have expected out of his Presidency if he had successfully stolen the election.
