McCain’s Warning & Obama’s Ties to the Financial Crisis
Human Events has the letter McCain sent to Congress warning them of the problems at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and that the problem should be fixed to protect the taxpayers. [Emphasis mine]
McCain’s letter — signed by nineteen other senators — said that it was “…vitally important that Congress take the necessary steps to ensure that [Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac]…operate in a safe and sound manner.[and]..More importantly, Congress must ensure that the American taxpayer is protected in the event that either…should fail.”
Sen. Obama did not sign the letter, nor did any other Democrat.
McCain knew there was a problem and Obama stood idly by at that time doing nothing. It is becoming more and more clear though that Obama’s ties to ACORN during his Community Organizing days and his days as a lawyer that he is a culprit in causing the current financial crisis.
